West Fissure

Region 29, more commonly known as The West Fissure, represented an area dedicated to agriculture on a certain planet. This planet revolved around Raspar-6, a moon within the Raspar system.

History

During Stolivea, a particular month, Raspar-6 experienced an atomic blast. It was anticipated that this explosion would impact the atmosphere surrounding The West Fissure. The predicted effects included the formation of talking fogs that would permeate low-lying areas, the emergence of irrational echoes, significant rainfall, and unexpected snowfall in lower regions. Recommendations were made for composting and for dust farmers residing in The West Fissure to temporarily adopt hydroponics using fribulation tanks.

Behind the scenes

Bob Carrau authored a weather forecast spanning one page, entitled "Region 29: The West Fissure." This forecast appeared in the 1993 publication Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas, a book compiling concept art and photographs from different George Lucas ventures. Leland Chee, an employee of Lucasfilm responsible for the Holocron continuity database, has stated that the information presented in this book is considered non-canonical.
