Raymas Daal

Raymas Daal, a Human criminal native to the planet Naboo, secretly served the interests of the Trade Federation. He was hired by Trade Federation operatives in 32 BBY to sabotage a sensor array located just outside the Naboo city of Kwilaan. To accomplish this, Daal convened with a band of mercenaries at a restaurant within Kwilaan, with the intention of contracting them to disable the array. However, agents from the Royal Naboo Security Forces had been tailing Daal to the rendezvous. Upon their arrival, Daal made a hasty escape, leaving the mercenaries to contend with the security forces. The following night, the mercenaries successfully deactivated the array and subsequently sought out Daal to collect their promised compensation. Ultimately, Daal was apprehended and taken into custody by the Royal Naboo Security Forces for interrogation.

Biography

Raymas Daal was a Human hailing from the planet Naboo. Daal, a petty offender, gained notoriety through his association with clandestine agents of the Trade Federation, a corporate entity plotting to invade Naboo. In 32 BBY, the Trade Federation provided Daal with funding to enlist mercenaries for the purpose of disabling Naboo's communications relays, including a sensor array situated near the city of Kwilaan. The Trade Federation's objective was to temporarily disrupt the array, enabling them to deploy jamming satellites into orbit around Naboo. Word spread on Naboo about Daal's newfound affiliation with a wealthy and influential benefactor, prompting a group of mercenaries to arrange a meeting with him at a restaurant in Kwilaan.

During his journey, Daal correctly suspected that Security Officers from the Royal Naboo Security Forces were shadowing him. This caused him to arrive at the restaurant just as the mercenaries were preparing to depart. Due to his suspicions, he urged the mercenaries to expedite the meeting. He offered them 8,000 credits to disable the sensor array. He concealed his Trade Federation ties by claiming that he intended to smuggle a consignment of rare spice past the array, thereby increasing his profits by evading taxation. In response to the mercenaries' inquiries, Daal specified that the attack on the array needed to occur the following night. He also assured them that he would be able to detect the array's deactivation and land his ship in Kwilaan to deliver payment. Furthermore, he expressed a willingness to negotiate a fee of up to 10,000 credits with the mercenaries.

As the mercenaries concluded their negotiations, three Security Officers entered the restaurant, intending to apprehend Daal for questioning due to suspicions regarding his connections to the Trade Federation. The officers' leader, a large Human, aimed a blaster pistol at Daal and demanded that he accompany them for questioning. Daal swiftly rose from his seat and fled towards the restaurant's rear exit, prompting the officers to open fire. One of the officers redirected their weapon towards the mercenaries, leaving them to manage the situation. After dealing with the officers, the mercenaries proceeded with the attack on the sensor array, enabling the Trade Federation to deploy their jamming satellites. Following this, the mercenaries planned to obtain their payment from Daal.

Daal was subsequently captured by the Royal Naboo Security Forces and detained for interrogation. The Trade Federation later utilized the jamming satellites deployed during the attack to sever Naboo's communications as they initiated their invasion of the planet.

Personality and traits

Daal's motivations were self-serving, yet he was known for his reliability in business transactions. He kept his Trade Federation affiliation secret from the mercenaries he hired, instead claiming he was simply trying to increase his own earnings. He was open to answering the mercenaries' questions and willing to negotiate a higher payment for the job. When confronted by security guards in the Kwilaan restaurant, Daal did not hesitate to run away. He was a Human with light skin.
