Orlin Denache, a male Human, served as the magister of Taloraan City, located on the planet of Taloraan, during the era of the Clone Wars.
In the year 22 BBY, Denache secretly entered into an agreement with Count Dooku, who desired to incorporate Taloraan into the Confederacy of Independent Systems. However, Dooku deemed the treaty insignificant and chose to seize control of the city's tibanna operations directly. A Munificent-class star frigate, under the command of Captain Canteval, was dispatched to the planet, and local Separatist sympathizers, led by Rynert, initiated the clandestine import of B1-series battle droids and droidekas into the city.
Simultaneously, Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker arrived on Taloraan, accompanied by Skywalker's Padawan Ahsoka Tano, with the aim of ensuring the planet's continued allegiance to the Republic. Realizing that the Jedi would detect his deception through the Force, Denache feigned illness and dispatched his emissary, Sech Govlinder, to negotiate in his stead. Nevertheless, after Tano inadvertently discovered battle droids stockpiled within the city, Canteval commanded the droids to launch an assault on her and the other Jedi, thereby exposing the Separatist presence within the city. The Jedi were captured, but Govlinder insisted that they be kept alive. Feeling betrayed by Dooku's manipulation, Govlinder then freed the Jedi and aided them in reclaiming the city. With the Separatist forces annihilated in the subsequent conflict, Denache found himself in an untenable position. Having betrayed both the Republic and Dooku, he faced a hopeless future and committed suicide by leaping from the city's edge into the core of the gas giant.
