Canteval

Canteval, acting under the directives of Count Dooku, oversaw a Confederacy of Independent Systems operation that took place on the planet Taloraan in 22 BBY. Orlin Denache, the magister of Taloraan, had secretly entered into a treaty with Dooku, who then instructed Canteval and a local CIS ally named Rynert to deploy battle droids within Taloraan City. Ahsoka Tano, a Padawan who was accompanying her master Anakin Skywalker along with Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi during negotiations with the local Denfrandi, discovered this fact. In response, Canteval commanded B1-series battle droids and droidekas to engage the Jedi. Following this command, Canteval repositioned his vessel into the cloud layers situated in the upper reaches of the gas giant's atmosphere. After Rynert's forces and the CIS had established control of the city, Canteval formulated a strategy to ambush the Republic Star Destroyer Resolute when it entered the upper atmospheric levels to make contact with the Jedi. However, the Jedi were successful in sending a message to the Resolute, warning its commander about the impending ambush. Lacking the element of surprise, Canteval's Munificent-class star frigate was unable to overcome the Venator on its own. As its shields weakened, the Munificent suffered several direct hits to its engines. Unable to maintain its altitude, the ship, with Canteval still on board, was pulled into the gas giant's core, resulting in his death.
