Kolatill Council

The Council of Kolatill, alternatively known as the Kolatill Council, served as the governing authority for the planet of Kolatill, situated within the Kathol sector of the Outer Rim Territories. In the year 0 ABY, Imperial Governor Tetrum placed the Council under arrest after he announced martial law on Kolatill. Eight years later, the people of Kolatill revolted against Tetrum following the New Republic's liberation of the sector capital, Kal'Shebbol, which brought about the downfall of the local Imperial warlord, Moff Kentor Sarne. The Council was then released from their prison, resuming their former duties, although their time in confinement had reduced their numbers to a mere three members, one of whom was Councilor Kause.

Subsequent to declaring their allegiance to the New Republic, the Council and the inhabitants of Kolatill were subjected to two attacks on their world by forces still loyal to Moff Sarne. The New Republic CR90 corvette FarStar responded to the Council's distress signal after the devastation of the city of Domaz, the planet's capital, by providing assistance and helping to repel the second assault. Expressing their gratitude for the New Republic's intervention, the Council publicly thanked the crew of the FarStar and supplied them with crucial information that aided them in their mission to locate and apprehend Moff Sarne.

History

Kolatill

The governing body of the planet Kolatill, located within the Kathol sector of the Outer Rim Territories, was the Kolatill Council, also known as the Council of Kolatill. This council maintained control of the world until 0 ABY, at which point Kentor Sarne, the local Imperial Moff, appointed Governor Tetrum to oversee Kolatill. Acting on Sarne's directives, Tetrum enforced martial law, mandating that all local repulsorlift manufacturers provide combat speeders for the Moff's forces. Consequently, the Council members were arrested and imprisoned.

In the year 8 ABY, the inhabitants of Kolatill launched an uprising against Tetrum, resulting in his imprisonment. The regime of Moff Sarne had collapsed following the New Republic's capture of his capital on Kal'Shebbol, compelling him to retreat. The Council members were released from their confinement, although the years spent in prison had reduced their number to a mere three. The population requested that the surviving Council members reassume their positions, which they accepted, thereby reconstituting the Council with Councilor Kause as its leader. Soon after, they declared Kolatill's allegiance to the New Republic.

Shortly thereafter, the planet endured an attack by the Ton-Falk-class escort carrier Kathol Protector, resulting in the devastation of the capital city of Domaz. The Council promptly issued a distress signal, requesting assistance from New Republic forces. This signal was intercepted by the CR90 corvette FarStar, which was preparing to embark on a mission to track down Moff Sarne. The vessel, commanded by Captain Keleman Ciro, swiftly arrived at the planet and provided aid to the population of Domaz. During the relief efforts, Councilor Kause personally escorted members of the FarStar delegation throughout the city and requested a meeting with Captain Ciro in the capital. The Council intended to broadcast these meetings across the planet to boost morale and demonstrate that the situation was under control.

As Ciro was en route to the surface for a meeting with the Council in a diplomatic shuttle, the Kathol Protector returned to initiate a second attack on the planet. During the ensuing conflict, Captain Ciro's shuttle was captured and taken aboard the Kathol Protector, although the FarStar, with assistance from the nascent Kolatill Defense Force, successfully repelled the attack. In the aftermath of the battle, the Council held a memorial service to commemorate those who had perished in the recent conflicts and to publicly express their gratitude to the crew of the FarStar for their efforts. They then provided the crew with the coordinates for the planet Gandle Ott, enabling the FarStar to continue its mission.

Organization

The Kolatill Council consisted of several individuals responsible for governing Kolatill. Following the bombing of Domaz in 8 ABY, only three members remained on the Council, with Councilor Kause leading them.
