The Granse Confederacy was a highly organized association of bounty hunters and trackers. Emerging onto the galactic stage soon after the Battle of Yavin, this group became infamous for undertaking the unsavory tasks others avoided, a service they euphemistically termed "discreet problem solving."
Though comprised of only eight individuals, each member of the Confederacy possessed a background in criminal organizations, recognized for their exceptional skills in locating and neutralizing "problems." Callandri and her cousin, Zayl Braith, were the founders of this organization. The membership included aliens Kiran Tatch, Arcuse, and Rodick Tag, all previously employed by Hutt syndicates until they were blacklisted. Additionally, Milacass, Vadon Lenitor, and Lu'daal-ud joined, having "left behind their pasts" to become part of the Confederacy.

Within a relatively short period, they amassed a remarkable arsenal of equipment, weaponry, and vehicles. This included three starships: Callandri's Stalwart-class freighter Nightcast (which housed her ground vehicle, a Jadai Q-6100, in its cargo hold), Lu'daal-ud's Koensayr Manufacturing Sigma-class shuttle Mist Laden, and Milacass's pilfered Calamari freighter Waterspire. However, the Confederacy primarily utilized the former two vessels due to their more subtle nature.
Around 2 ABY, the Rebel Alliance Task Force reported that the Granse Confederacy had executed at least half a dozen attacks targeting Rebel personnel within a mere four-month span. Lu'daal-ud successfully acquired highly sensitive files pertaining to ongoing Rebel operations in the Shiwal and Cademimu sectors, thereby escalating the danger posed to the Alliance. Furthermore, Milacass' Waterspire was also taken from Rebel operatives. General Crix Madine regarded the Confederacy as a substantial threat to the Rebel Alliance.
Many high-ranking members of the Alliance's command structure suspected that the Confederacy was established with the specific intention to assassinate Alton Lochner, stemming from Callandri's personal vendetta against him. However, this theory was never definitively proven. Nevertheless, it was common knowledge that other members of the Granse Confederacy were aware of Callandri's animosity towards Lochner.
