Elan Tallah served as a leader of the hill people of Gala, and was a Galacian.

Before King Cana of Gala wed Veda, Elan was born as his illegitimate child with Tema of the hill people. For a significant portion of her life, Elan was the head of the hill people.
In the year 44 BBY, Qui-Gon Jinn, a Jedi Master, sought her out, seeking to persuade her to bring her people to Galu and participate in the elections. This was done to help ensure Wila Prammi would be elected, as she was the only candidate who wasn't anti-democratic (Prince Beju) or allied with the Offworld Corporation (Deca Brun). Elan, however, declined, believing that Veda had sent him to either imprison her or disperse the hill people.
However, an assault by misguided royalist forces, acting under the orders of Lonnag Giba (Veda's treacherous chief Council Minister), forced her to go back to the city. After the elections had concluded, Elan was revealed to be the rightful heir to the throne, as she possessed the Mark of the Crown. This mark could only be detected in a specific chamber within the palace and was only visible on the true heir. Afterward, she gave comfort to Beju, her half-brother.
Elan was well-known for her aptitude for leadership and healing, along with her personality that was both stubborn and compassionate. She received training in the use of a bowcaster for combat situations and was skilled at piloting a swoop bike.
