During the Galactic Civil War, a male Twi'lek named Vil Sembian lived. He was the offspring of the renowned weaponsmith, Daw Sembian, who bequeathed him the design for an innovative blaster capable of shifting the balance of power in the ongoing conflict.

Biography

Daw Sembian, a celebrated weaponsmith, was Vil Sembian's father. Before the [Battle of Yavin](/article/battle_of_yavin-legends], Daw passed away, leaving his son the plans for a revolutionary blaster that could potentially favor the Rebel Alliance. In 1 ABY, Vil Sembian journeyed to Anchorhead on Tatooine with the intention of delivering the schematics to Nitra Vendallan, a captain and friend in the Rebel forces.

However, the Galactic Empire pursued him relentlessly, prompting Nitra Vendallan to dispatch a Rebel spacer to locate Sembian and ensure his safe return to town. To safeguard Sembian, the spacer engaged in combat with numerous scout trooper and Viper probe droid. Despite Imperial opposition, the spacer successfully escorted Sembian to safety. Vil Vendallan expressed her gratitude, ensuring the schematic reached Alliance High Command.

Vil Sembian was featured as a non-player character within the 2003 video game, Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided. This massively multiplayer online role-playing game was a collaborative effort between Sony Online Entertainment, the developer, and LucasArts, the publisher, before its shutdown on December 15, 2011.

Given that Vil Sembian's in-game appearance was based on the "commoner_twilek_male" template, his visual representation was subject to randomization, resulting in one of six potential male Twi'lek appearances. A screenshot showcasing Vil Sembian as a randomly generated male Aqualish is known to exist. However, it's important to acknowledge that this screenshot originated from one of the two now-defunct Japanese servers, which employed distinct character templates for certain NPCs. Considering that the American and European servers consistently utilized the "commoner_twilek_male" template, this article operates under the assumption that one of the six male Twi'lek appearances is considered canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity.
