During the Galactic Civil War, a Trandoshan male by the name of Verkoss functioned as an enforcer for the Hutt Brinojja. In the year 4 ABY, Verkoss's mission to capture Rat, an information merchant, on the moon of Nar Shaddaa for Brinojja, ended in failure.
Serving as the primary enforcer for the Hutt crime lord Brinojja was a Trandoshan male named Verkoss, during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Verkoss was dispatched by Brinojja in 4 ABY to seize the information merchant Rat from a bar located on the moon of Nar Shaddaa. Verkoss, accompanied by ten of Brinojja's henchmen, entered the bar and confronted Rat along with several agents of the Rebel Alliance who were engaged in business with the information merchant. A fierce lightfight erupted between the two parties, leading Verkoss and his thugs to chase Rat and the Rebels through the depths of Nar Shaddaa. Ultimately, Verkoss and his gang cornered their targets in a dead-end alley. Determined to take the lives of the Rebels, Verkoss and his forces mocked the group while unleashing a barrage of blaster fire upon them. However, Rat and the Rebels managed to escape Verkoss's grasp, as they were airlifted to safety by the YT-1300 light freighter known as the Lazy Katarn.
Verkoss, although resolute, exercised caution to avoid unnecessary losses among his troops during combat. He possessed multilingual abilities, displaying fluency in Basic as well as the languages of Dosh and Huttese.
During his attempt to capture Rat, Verkoss was equipped with padded battle armor and utilized a blaster pistol, a blaster carbine, and a vibrodagger.
Verkoss made an appearance in Soulsaber, a roleplaying adventure authored by Lee Pickler and released by RPGA in the year 2001. This adventure served as the second installment in the Child of Light saga and is situated within the Star Wars Legends continuity. In Soulsaber, players assume the roles of the Rebels who are confronted by Verkoss on Nar Shaddaa, and their encounter can unfold in various ways. If Verkoss's forces suffer setbacks against the Rebels, he implores his thugs to retreat. Should the situation continue to deteriorate, the Trandoshan commands his troops to target the street's glowpanels, plunging the area into darkness. Furthermore, it is possible for the battle to culminate in Verkoss's incapacitation or even his demise.
