Trauger, a figure known as a bounty hunter, met his end while chasing a bounty located on Socorro. He attempted to coerce information from an Ibhaan'I tribe by threatening the life of one of their women, demanding that someone lead him to his target. Oceke, the woman's son, made a deal: he would guide Trauger in exchange for his mother's freedom. However, Oceke led Trauger into a field of poisonous gas, resulting in the bounty hunter's swift demise. Consequently, the Ibhaan'I named the gas "traugi'ha," which translates to Trauger gas.
