The Plant stands as an adventure for a roleplaying game, and it forms a portion of "The Long Shot Campaign." Its initial appearance was in the Star Wars Campaign Pack during 1988, followed by a republication within Classic Campaigns in 1994.
Within this adventure, players assume the identities of members of Green squad, a component of the Alliance to Restore the Republic's Irregular unit known as Reekeene's Roughnecks. The mission given to Green squad involves journeying to Iyuta with the purpose of installing a listening device underneath a newly constructed Imperial Communications Center situated on that planet. During their mission, they must confront the complication that their contact, Chilla, met their death and was substituted by an Imperial spy.
