Tenno, a male Human of youthful age, spent his early years on the planet Ceriun, circa 1000 BBY.
Growing up on Ceriun, a world characterized by its rudimentary agricultural practices, Tenno harbored a strong desire to leave his home planet, escaping the rule of Ka'arn, his overbearing and strict father. Following a starship accident that resulted in a crash landing near his village, Tenno and his companions secretly listened in on a discussion between the village leaders. They discovered that the [pilot](/article/pilot-legends], now deceased, was a Jedi Knight. Moreover, this Jedi had entrusted the elders with a holocron of cubic shape, requesting its safekeeping until another Jedi arrived to retrieve it. Tenno, reasoning that the Sith would inevitably come seeking the holocron, assembled his friends and devised a plan to seize the artifact, intending to safeguard it for the Sith, with the hope that it would provide him passage off Ceriun.
During a subsequent meeting of the elders to deliberate the holocron's fate, Tenno and his friends, armed and ready, confronted them. A violent conflict ensued, resulting in the deaths of several adults, including Tenno's father, Ka'arn. This altercation was abruptly halted by the arrival of a Sith Lord, who swiftly claimed the holocron and departed.
When Tenno attempted to justify his actions, explaining that he and his friends had protected the device for the Sith, the Sith Lord responded with aggression, using his lightsaber to kill several of Tenno's companions, proclaiming, "What the Sith want, they take." However, acknowledging Tenno's assistance, he instructed the villagers to leave him unharmed, warning of consequences should they disobey. Tenno was then abandoned to grapple with the remorse stemming from his deeds.
