The Tempestro temple formed a part of an ancient temple complex situated on Koda's World. Its location was approximately 20 kilometers into the forest, near the edge where Dhar Bullwin and New Republic scouts had made their landing around 7 ABY. The ancient route to the temple involved navigating dense undergrowth and towering trees that reached heights of thousands of meters. The Tempestro survivors, following a meteor collision before approximately ~2,000,000 BBY, constructed the temple with the intention of safeguarding their accumulated knowledge.
This square structure, constructed from stone, covered an area of 10 square kilometers and rose to a height of hundreds of meters. The monolith was constructed from enormous pale grey stone blocks, sourced from distant mountains. These blocks were elaborately carved with intricate designs. The temple's design was reminiscent of a fortress, lacking any obvious entrance. Imposing grey walls stood rigidly, and a central, spiraling tower extended hundreds of meters into the sky, surpassing the height of the trees. Smaller towers mirrored this design on a reduced scale. The upper sections of the temple walls, unprotected from the elements, had been almost entirely smoothed by the passage of time and the encroachment of the forest.
A 30-meter section of wall at the structure's base displayed a representation of the Tarin system. The intended method for entering the temple involved placing the Eye of Koda on the representation, specifically where Koda's World was depicted. This action would cause a section of the wall to silently pivot open.

The interior consisted of a single, expansive chamber, dimly illuminated by phosphorescent fungi growing along the walls. A pedestal was also located inside, which, according to legend, could bestow all the power and knowledge of the Tempestro upon anyone who stood upon it, in addition to granting invisibility. Stepping onto the pedestal would result in complete envelopment in a swirling nimbus of light and energy. This energy was believed to be that of the Tempestro spirits of the past, the ancient protectors of the temple and its concealed power.
During the early years of the New Republic, Dhar Bullwin sought to acquire the temple's power, but the temple's guardian deemed him unworthy. Subsequently, the guardian chose to destroy the temple, recognizing the error of his people in their desire to remain "alive" and retain their power.
