Steven Fatone is the sibling of Joey Fatone, who is a member of the famous boy band NSYNC. Originally, Fatone was slated to make an appearance as a Jedi in the 2002 movie Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones](/article/star_wars:_episode_ii_attack_of_the_clones) from the prequel trilogy, together with his brother Joey Fatone and fellow NSYNC members JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick. Steven received the invitation alongside NSYNC because Justin Timberlake and Lance Bass were unavailable because of scheduling issues. However, Fatone's brother later verified that their scene was removed due to negative fan feedback. Despite this, Lynne Hale, a representative for Lucasfilm Ltd., could not confirm that their roles had been cut, asserting that the ultimate decision rested with George Lucas, the director and creator of the franchise. Ultimately, Fatone's character and scene were absent from Attack of the Clones.
