Chris Kirkpatrick, renowned as both a vocalist and an actor, gained prominence as a member of the popular boy band NSYNC. Kirkpatrick was initially slated to make an appearance as a Jedi within the 2002 prequel trilogy motion picture, specifically Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. He was to be joined by fellow NSYNC bandmates Joey Fatone and JC Chasez, in addition to Steven Fatone, Joey's brother. However, Joey Fatone later verified that their scene was ultimately removed because of adverse fan reactions. Notwithstanding this, Lucasfilm Ltd. representative Lynne Hale could not confirm the removal of their roles, emphasizing that the final determination rested with director and franchise originator George Lucas. In the end, Kirkpatrick's character and associated scene did not make it into the final cut of Attack of the Clones.
