The diameter of Ord Vaxal was 11,254 kilometers. It featured a geography of three continents in addition to many archipelagos. A day on the planet lasted 25 standard hours, while a year lasted 288 standard days. Native species included the risps in addition to the trighas.
It served as an Ordnance/Regional Depot. Multiple animal species were brought to the world: these included jungle banthas, eopies, rontos, and also nerfs. During the Jailbreak in 20 BBY, the prisoners gained control of Ord Vaxal.
During the time of Imperial control, Moff Adria Reyn permitted Sassallo, the Hutt of the Besadii kajidic, to effectively govern the planet. On one occasion, Sassallo and Adria nearly captured Han Solo and Lando Calrissian.
