This particular operation unfolded within the Ando system throughout the duration of the Clone Wars.
A staging post was established by the Confederacy of Independent Systems on a certain planetoid located inside the Ando system; this was used for temporary stops. Upon discovering this, the Galactic Republic resolved to dispatch Strike Force Cularin, a group comprised of Republic forces, Cularin Militia personnel, and Thaereian military personnel, with the objective of eliminating it. The strike force gathered within the Cularin system before proceeding to the Ando system.
Upon their arrival in the Ando system, the Republic task force initiated an assault and successfully seized a Separatist CR90 corvette. The Heroes of Cularin then boarded the captured vessel, discovering that the majority of the crew had perished. Among the surviving members of the crew was the ship's second officer, Lieutenant Rame Cartroll, who was taken into custody. However, they were subsequently attacked by Solenoid, Sheel, four additional Wyrd individuals, and Gura Tran. Tran, serving as a representative of the Thaereian military, was secretly engaged in meetings with the CIS. Rast'tul, fearing the heroes' potential discovery of this clandestine alliance, orchestrated an attack on the corvette using a Z-95 Headhunter. The corvette was destroyed, and Rast'tul falsely asserted that the pilot had acted independently. Several starfighters were salvaged from the wreckage of the corvette and equipped with Republic transponder codes.
Shortly thereafter, the Republic deployed their Clone troopers onto the planetoid's surface, commencing an offensive against the Separatist forces. They engaged in combat against CIS B1-series battle droids and other organic combatants. During the ensuing conflict, Rast'tul found himself under attack but was rescued by the Heroes of Cularin. Incensed by the fact that it was they who had saved him, he inadvertently confessed to ordering the Headhunter attack in his rage. Lazlo Ardine overheard this confession and promptly ordered clones to apprehend him. The clones continued their assault, ultimately securing the base.
Following the successful operation, Strike Force Cularin retreated and returned to the Cularin system, where it was subsequently dissolved. A datacard recovered by the heroes from the Separatist corvette was later decrypted, revealing evidence of the Thaereians' betrayal and their alliance with the CIS.
