Jedi Concentration

Jedi Concentration, also known as Sith Concentration when utilized by Sith, was an archaic Force ability that Jedi could access. It granted the user the capability to employ the Force to re-align enemy-controlled structures and formidable weaponry to their own side. The knowledge of Jedi Concentration was located within an ancient grove situated on the moon of Alaris Prime.

Sometime between 39 BBY and 36 BBY, the Wookiee settlers on Alaris Prime discovered a holocron that revealed the ancient grove's proximity to a base. Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, who had come to the base to assist the Wookiees in their conflict with the Trade Federation, managed to reach the grove and acquire the power of Jedi Concentration. Jinn was pleased with this discovery and successfully employed the ability against the Trade Federation.

Behind the scenes

Jedi Concentration made its debut in the 2001 LucasArts computer game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. It can be researched at a cost of 350 nova crystals at either a Jedi or Sith Temple. In the standard game settings, the Galactic Empire, the Alliance to Restore the Republic, the Royal Naboo, and the Galactic Republic in the 2002 expansion Clone Campaigns are the only factions that can access Jedi/Sith Concentration. The upgrade in Galactic Battlegrounds is represented by an image of Luke Skywalker utilizing the Force on the planet of Dagobah from the 1980 movie Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.

In the seventh mission of the Wookiee tutorial campaign, entitled "The Battle for Alaris Prime," the player has the option to gain access to Jedi Concentration by dispatching Qui-Gon Jinn to the ancient grove.
