Rodians of the Bomu Clan
On the world of Rodia, a significant Rodian family was known as the Bomu Clan. Their numbers were vast, and their warriors seemingly endless, leading to the saying "there will always be more Bomu," which became both a comfort and a threat in the criminal underworld. To cross this clan often meant death, as its members were notorious for their relentless pursuit of anyone who wronged them. The Bomu were identifiable by a clan tattoo located above their left eye, and they favored the element of surprise over head-on battles. While not generally regarded as a major power, they became dangerous in the hands of a clever employer.
The Hutt named Popara and the Anjiliac kajidic frequently hired the Bomu Clan to do their dirty work; this continued with Popara's descendants, Zonnos and Mika. When Mika went missing, Popara engaged an independent team for the rescue. Zonnos, in turn, hired at least a pair of Bomu pilots to attack the rescuers and ensure Mika's disappearance remained permanent. Though the Bomu pilots died in the attempt, Zonnos successfully distanced himself from the affair by using intermediaries. Following this event, the Bomu harbored a deep grudge against the rescuers, relentlessly harassing them with increasingly well-armed Rodian soldiers.
After Popara's passing, Zonnos took control of the kajidic and maintained the relationship with the Bomu. Four Bomu soldiers, along with Wookiees and Niktos, were discovered in docking bay Q2214 GRB, lying in wait to ambush those Zonnos believed responsible for his father's demise. These Bomu also met their end at the hands of the fugitives, who, coincidentally, were the same individuals who had rescued Mika. Ultimately, Zonnos' death placed Mika at the helm of the clan. Mika made considerable efforts to prevent the Bomu from harassing his "friends". Additionally, he dispatched Bomu soldiers to Varl to safeguard his assets located there. This assignment proved so tedious that the Bomu began prioritizing the search for Hutt artifacts and complaining about inadequate compensation over their patrol duties. This negligence eventually led to an invasion that resulted in the deaths of some Bomu soldiers.
Even after the Tempest Feud crisis subsided, the Bomu remained active. One of their primary rivals was the Kenu Clan, who viewed the Bomu as mere amateurs.
