Dragob was a male Sedrian character, originating from the planet Sedri. He lived during the era of the Galactic Civil War. During the Sedri civil war, Dragob sided with the bishop of war, Karak, and his renegades, acting as Karak's personal protector. Dragob participated with Karak and five other renegades in an attack on the Sun caves in Fitsay during the Siege of the Fitsay Sun Caves, aiming to seize the power of the Golden Sun. A group of Rebels and the Sedrian priest Pek pursued Karak and his followers into the caves. Dragob, along with the other renegades except Karak, set up an ambush. When the Rebels approached, Dragob attacked them with a spear gun and attempted to escape further into the cave. However, the Golden Sun coral shifted, blocking his path. Faced with no escape, Dragob chose to fight the Rebels to the death rather than surrender.
Hailing from the planet Sedri, a water-dominated world situated in the isolated Sedri system far from the galaxy's main hubs, was a male Sedrian named Dragob. His life was marked by a civil war on Sedri, a conflict between the Priests of the Sun, the ruling religious authority based in Fitsay, and a band of renegades led by the former Bishop of war, Karak, who challenged the Priests' authority. Dragob aligned himself with the renegades, who opposed the Priests' control over the Golden Sun, a vast collective of polyp species known as Golden Sun coral. This coral formed a sentient, group-minded entity with strong ties to the Force, possessing significant healing abilities. The Priests kept the Golden Sun hidden within the Great Shell Dome in Fitsay's center, strictly regulating access to it. Karak and his renegades believed that all Sedrians should have access to the Golden Sun, though Karak's true motive was to seize the coral's power for himself.
During the war, an Imperial scout ship stumbled upon Sedri. Following the report of its location, a small Imperial garrison, led by commander Aban, was established. This Imperial presence attracted the attention of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. A Rebel dignitary, Mors Odrion, and his companion, Rekara, journeyed to Sedri. The renegades captured the Rebels for interrogation, unfamiliar with off-worlders. While the renegades considered using Odrion as leverage with the Imperials, Rekara escaped and stole a small piece of Golden coral, which the renegades had plundered from Fitsay.
Karak then presented Odrion to Aban, forging an alliance between the renegades and the Empire to attack Fitsay and divide the Golden Sun's power equally. Karak kept this alliance secret from most of his renegades, who distrusted the Imperials. A group of six Rebels, who had traveled to Sedri with Rekara and reached the Rebel Delta Base on New Kisge seeking assistance, exploited this secret. They used Karak's betrayal to convince many renegades, including Karak's daughter, Fala, to side with them and the Priests of the Sun in the upcoming battle.
Dragob remained with Karak and the Empire, who then launched their siege on the Sun Caves using an Aquatic Terrain Armored Transport. Imperial troops, mainly Aquatic assault stormtroopers, clashed with the forces of Fitsay and the Rebels outside the city. Karak, however, led six of his most trusted renegades: Dragob, Glish, K'hondo, Porm, Spodan, and Burborok, along with his pet Razort Tooch and their prisoner Odrion, to the Sun Caves to claim the coral for himself and defeat both the Imperials and the Priests.
At the cave, the group encountered the High priest Cardo, who was nearly fatally wounded by one of the renegades. They proceeded into the cave, with Karak and Odrion heading towards the main chamber while the others spread out to delay any pursuers. Dragob, armed with a melee weapon and a spear gun, hid behind a column in a divided hall. The group of six Rebels, Rekara, and Cardo's son, Pek, entered the cave in search of Karak and encountered Dragob. The Sedrian emerged from behind the column, firing the spear gun at the group before attempting to flee. However, the Golden Sun sealed all exits in the hall, trapping Dragob. Unable to escape, he chose to fight the Rebels to the death and was killed in the ensuing combat. The Rebels then successfully stopped Karak by persuading the Golden Sun to separate and weaken its power, which Karak had used to become nearly invincible.
Dragob's initial appearance was in the West End Games adventure booklet Battle for the Golden Sun, authored by Douglas Kaufman and released in 1988 as part of the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game series. He serves as an enemy encountered by the player characters during the adventure's final chapter, whom they are required to defeat in order to reach Karak and complete their mission.
