Celis Mott

Celis Mott achieved notoriety as a pirate during the era of the Galactic Civil War. As a stout Human, Mott sported a beard and maintained his eyebrows with dye and trimming, following the Peluchian fashion. He considered himself more refined than he actually was, and managed to consolidate all pirate groups in his region into a single fleet that terrorized the Nanth'ri Route with raids. Mott penned a code of conduct for pirates known as Ship's Articles, which, after some changes, became common practice among pirates even after his unexplained vanishing.

It was later revealed that Mott had been seized by the Rebels. While being transported aboard the Celestial to an Alliance prison facility, Mott and a fellow inmate, Bane Nothos, broke free and seized command of the starship. Nevertheless, when the escapees attempted a lightspeed jump, everyone aboard vanished into Otherspace. The Charon's red mist had a devastating effect on Mott, driving him to madness within the alien vessel Desolate. Subsequently, Mott met his end at the hands of Alliance operatives who had orchestrated a supposed rescue mission.

Sometime later, Xishel, a Falleen, hired Marka Durn to discover Mott's missing riches. Durn located the treasure on a secluded asteroid, but his life ended soon after.
