Aaaaaalt represented one of nine monthly divisions in a calendar specific to a planet populated by both dust farmers and the vendors of grain. It followed the month of Bababbb, came before Ensi, and a weather prediction for the planet's West Fissure area characterized it as the final month within that calendar. Furthermore, the start of winter in the West Fissure coincided with both Bababbb and Aaaaaalt.
Similar to Bababbb, the color pink was sometimes associated with Aaaaaalt. One weather event that could occur during this month was the emergence of glacial cysts, which posed a hazard to the inhabitants of West Fissure. A weather forecast at one point suggested that the Bababbb and Aaaaaalt of that year would exhibit a more intense pink hue than usual, eventually shifting to a chartreuse tint by the time winter arrived. This forecast also cautioned about the potential for glacial cysts and suggested the use of overnothings during that period.
The month of Aaaaaalt appeared in the 1993 publication titled Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas. This book presented creature designs and photographs from various projects by George Lucas, the creator of the Star Wars franchise, combined with original text authored by Bob Carrau. Leland Chee, an employee of Lucasfilm who manages the Holocron continuity database, has stated that the information within Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas is considered non-canonical in relation to the Star Wars Legends narrative.
