Xochtl, a planet found in the Xochtl system, was part of the Loop Worlds region. This region was located inside the Gordian Reach sector, which itself was in the Trans-Hydian section of the Outer Rim Territories. This world was accessible via a hyperlane that linked it to the Bronsoon system.
The surface of Xochtl, a rocky and unstable planet, was characterized by the presence of crags and spires. Its gravitational force was somewhat weaker than the standard. This planet served as the original homeworld for the Bagmim species, whose members had ventured into space well before 43 ABY, specifically centuries earlier.
The reference book The Essential Atlas, released in 2009 and written by Daniel Wallace along with Jason Fry, marked the debut of Xochtl. The planet was assigned the grid coordinate P-6 within the atlas.
