Xerender was a male Human Jedi Knight. He belonged to the Jedi Order and lived during the Cold War period.
The Jedi Knight Xerender was once a Padawan under the tutelage of the Jedi Master Wyellett. During the Great Galactic War, they fought together against the Sith Lord Darth Baras. Although the Sith managed to escape, Wyellett seized Baras' lightsaber. Wyellett then kept it, viewing it as a symbol of darkness transformed into light. Wyellett was eventually captured and was scheduled to be delivered to Baras, but the prison transport crashed on Hoth. Both Baras and Xerender believed Wyellett had died. However, Wyellett survived, becoming trapped beneath meters of ice under the wreckage of the Star of Coruscant. For years, he survived solely by drawing upon the Force. Eventually, he managed to contact Xerender and inform him of his location. Xerender, along with his Padawan Sewlor, launched a rescue mission to Hoth. There, they joined forces with Talz commandos led by Fetzellen. These actions, however, provoked Broonmark, a rogue soldier under Fetzellen, who isolated and killed Xerender's apprentice.
Simultaneously, Darth Baras discovered Xerender's activities on Hoth and sent his Enforcer after him, thinking Xerender was searching for a superweapon. Xerender sliced into his pursuer's holocommunications, interrupting the report to Baras, leading Baras to kill Commander Lanklyn in anger. Xerender ultimately reached the Star of Coruscant, but he was closely followed. Broonmark managed to kill Fetzellen, while the Sith dealt with the remaining Talz commandos. Xerender finally located his former master, but their reunion was abruptly ended by the Sith's arrival. Xerender fought Darth Baras' apprentice but was ultimately defeated. Xerender and his former Master were then entombed together beneath tons of ice.
