A unit of soldiers was positioned at the Rebel Refueling Base located on Vrogas Vas throughout the Galactic Civil War. This Alliance Army unit was made up of many infantry rebel troopers, and they made use of armed Rebel Troop Carts along with T2-B Repulsor Tanks. When the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader's ship crashed during the Battle of Vrogas Vas, the entire unit moved to the crash location where Vader was and encircled him. The rebels, thinking they had an advantage because they greatly outnumbered Vader, told him to surrender; however, he mocked them and then used the Force to set off the grenades that the rebels were carrying. These explosions annihilated the majority of the unit, causing significant losses, including the destruction of an entire platoon. General Jan Dodonna sent a battalion to provide backup to the Alliance forces stationed on Vrogas Vas.
