Vann Bragheer was a lieutenant, a male human, and a TIE fighter pilot within the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing. Major Soran Keize led a training exercise in which he observed the lieutenant's dislike for zero-thrust turns. Subsequently, Keize, who was field promoted to Colonel, selected Bragheer, along with Lieutenant Palal Seedia, to support the colonel's squadron of TIE drones. Keize cautioned the pair about the potential for death during their assignment. Upon the 204th's arrival in the Cerberon system, the squadron was dispatched and engaged a New Republic squadron in the skies above the planet Catadra. Bragheer perished in the conflict, with Keize being the sole member to return to the 204th.

During the Galactic Civil War, holding the rank of lieutenant, Vann Bragheer was a TIE fighter pilot for the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing. Around 5 ABY, the fighter wing was preparing to strike a New Republic battle group located within the Cerberon system. As part of the preparations, Major Soran Keize, who was the commanding officer of the 204th, conducted a training drill involving Bragheer and other pilots. During this drill, Keize guided the TIE pilots through the icy rings of a certain moon. Subsequently, the major presented Bragheer and the others with simulated readings to assess their reactions. The lieutenant displayed a reluctance towards zero-thrust turns, which Keize took note of and intended to discuss with Bragheer's squadron commander. The major then announced the next exercise to the pilots, declaring himself as the new target.
Having received a field promotion to colonel, Keize chose Bragheer and Lieutenant Palal Seedia to join him and nine TIE drones. This was part of a diversion intended to distract New Republic forces in the Cerberon system, allowing the rest of the 204th to launch their attack. Bragheer and Seedia were tasked with herding the drones should they encounter enemy starships. Keize informed them that their deaths were a real possibility during the mission, a statement that only Seedia seemed to hesitate at. Soon after, the 204th arrived in the Cerberon system, and by the time Keize had checked on the status of their ploy squadron, Bragheer, Seedia, and the drones were prepared for deployment.
Once Keize joined them, the squadron took off, heading towards the planet Catadra, where the New Republic's Meteor Squadron engaged the TIEs. Bragheer was killed during the battle, along with all of the drones. Assuming Seedia had also died, Keize left the area. Later, he mourned Bragheer and Seedia at the funeral of Garmen Naadra, another pilot who was killed later during the 204th's time in the Cerberon system.
Soran Keize viewed Vann Bragheer, a human male, as a dependable presence. The major noticed Bragheer's aversion to zero-thrust turns and selected him for the diversion squadron to balance out Palal Seedia's inspired boldness. Bragheer showed no hesitation when Keize mentioned the possibility of death during the diversion mission.
Vann Bragheer made an appearance in Shadow Fall, a 2020 novel penned by Alexander Freed.
