Van-Ith

Van-Ith, a Human male, governed Vanqor in the years preceding the Clone Wars.

Biography

During the time of the Separatist Crisis, Van-Ith initiated a campaign of territorial expansion through invasion and conquest. This resulted in Vanqor gaining control over the entire Uziel system, with the sole exception of the world Typha-Dor. The forces of Vanqor held complete dominance over the skies of Uziel.

Despite the limited resources of his home planet, Van-Ith managed to generate significant power for Vanqor. He accomplished this by cleverly utilizing the few resources available and skillfully conquering resource-rich worlds. This aggressive strategy stood in stark contrast to planets like Typha-Dor, which possessed abundant resources but seemingly lacked the ambition to thrive. Consequently, under Van-Ith's leadership and through its expansionist strategies, Vanqor successfully established thriving industries and achieved a degree of prosperity.

In 25 BBY, Van-Ith gave the order to invade the neighboring planet of Typha-Dor. He used an undercover operative named Mezdec to infiltrate the TY44 satellite surveillance station of Typha-Dor. After Mezdec provided a disk containing fabricated invasion plans to the leaders and military of Typha-Dor, Van-Ith proceeded with the invasion. However, the Jedi intervened and thwarted Van-Ith's scheme by delivering a disk containing the authentic invasion plans of Vanqor to the rulers of Typha-Dor. This allowed the threatened planet to launch a preventative counterattack, trapping Van-Ith's fleet within a satellite-moon corridor used for approach, and forcing Van-Ith to agree to a truce.

Van-Ith collaborated with Binalu and Talus, the "twin rulers" of Typha-Dor, as well as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Clee Rhara, Siri Tachi, and the other Jedi who were dispatched, to negotiate a ceasefire and lasting peace between the two planets.
