Task Force Vengeance

The military group known as Task Force Vengeance was established with the purpose of bringing peace to the Airam sector. Admiral Wooyou Senn was in command, operating from the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Vengeance.

History

Around the same time that a Rebel Alliance unit, with the cruiser Liberty as its core, started building a new shipyard in the Nocto system, this Imperial naval group began its operations. What followed was a lengthy series of battles between the two sides.

In the end, Admiral Senn and the Vengeance met their end due to a strong Rebel assault. The fighting left both sides in the Airam sector, both Rebels and Imperials, severely weakened and unable to gain a clear advantage. Task Force Vengeance was unable to eliminate the Rebel presence in Airam, nor could it force the Airam leaders to submit.

Production Notes

Opening crawl of the campaign

The name of the Imperial campaign in Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: Balance of Power comes from this very task force. While the final missions allow players to choose either the Rebels or the Imperials, the overall story does not clearly favor either side.
