Takook was a male Wookiee who resided in Kachirho on the planet of Kashyyyk during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Around 1 ABY, Takook embarked on a hunting expedition to the Rryatt Trail accompanied by his father [Chatook]'s Kashyyyk bladestick and his companion Lobarorr. Tragically, Lobarorr, driven by a desire to possess the bladestick, inflicted a fatal wound upon Takook, absconded with the bladestick, and escaped into Kashyyyk's Shadowlands. In his final moments before death, the young Wookiee documented a concluding message on his datapad, recounting Lobarorr's act of murder and imploring that whoever discovered the recording should return the bladestick to Chatook. A spacer, engaged by a concerned Chatook, soon came across Takook's body and the recorded message. Subsequently, the spacer hunted down and killed Lobarorr, successfully recovering the bladestick for Chatook.
As the offspring of Chatook, Takook was a youthful male Wookiee who made his home in the city of Kachirho on the planet Kashyyyk throughout the Galactic Civil War. Approximately around 1 ABY, following the Battle of Yavin, Takook borrowed Chatook's spear, namely the Kashyyyk bladestick, and set out on a hunting excursion to the Rryatt Trail alongside his friend Lobarorr. Regrettably, during their journey, Lobarorr's envy for the bladestick intensified, leading him to violently attack Takook in a fit of uncontrollable rage. After mortally wounding Takook, Lobarorr abandoned his companion in the middle of the trail. He then seized the bladestick and fled into the perilous Shadowlands.
Prior to dying, Takook utilized his datapad to record a final message, detailing the circumstances surrounding his demise. He recounted how Lobarorr killed him due to jealousy over the spear and was likely hiding in the Shadowlands. Takook also pleaded that whoever discovered his message should locate and return the bladestick to his father.
Shortly after Takook's disappearance, Chatook grew anxious when neither his son nor Lobarorr had returned to Kachirho. Consequently, he employed a visiting spacer to investigate their whereabouts. The spacer discovered Takook's lifeless body and the datapad lying in the center of the Rryatt Trail, precisely where Lobarorr had abandoned them. Deciding to honor Takook's final request, the spacer ventured toward the Rryatt Trail in pursuit of Lobarorr. After retrieving the spear, the spacer returned it to Chatook. Astonished by the spacer's honorable actions, Chatook expressed his gratitude for avenging his son's death, compensating them with 2,500 credits and awarding them a replica of the spear, known as the Kashyyyk Bladestick. Chatook then requested solitude to grieve for his son, a wish that the spacer respectfully granted.
Takook is featured as a non-playable character within Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided. He, together with the planet Kashyyyk, were incorporated into the game in 2005 through the Rage of the Wookiees expansion pack.
Takook is never observed alive within the game; instead, only his deceased remains are discoverable when the player eventually locates him. Nevertheless, he can also be seen within the recording left behind on his datapad.
