Supi


Supi, a Twi'lek with green pigmentation, functioned as a dedicated aide to the unscrupulous Senator Orn Free Taa. She maintained a fierce rivalry with Pampy, a fellow aide of Taa's, as both vied intensely for the senator's approval. In the year 22 BBY, Supi accompanied Taa, along with other members of the Galactic Senate's Loyalist Committee, to a meeting held in the office of Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine on the planet Coruscant.

Biography

Serving as an aide was Supi, a Twi'lek in the service of Senator Orn Free Taa. Taa was the corrupt representative from the planet Ryloth within the Galactic Senate of the Galactic Republic. During the Separatist Crisis occurring in 22 BBY, Taa held a position on the Loyalist Committee. Supi, alongside Pampy, another of Taa's aides, and other committee members, accompanied him to a meeting within the office of Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine, located in the Senate Office Building.

Upon the arrival of the committee, Dar Wac, Palpatine's assistant, informed the chancellor of their presence. Palpatine then instructed Wac to usher them into the office immediately following the conclusion of a meeting with members of the Jedi High Council. Before the committee took their seats, the two groups engaged in a discussion regarding the recent attempts made on the life of Senator Padmé Amidala, another member of the Loyalist Committee. Subsequently, the Jedi departed, having pledged to provide enhanced protection for Amidala, thus allowing the committee to commence its meeting with Palpatine.

Personality and traits

Supi demonstrated loyalty to Orn Free Taa and engaged in intense competition with Pampy for his attention, fostering a bitter rivalry between them. However, Taa held a preference for companions who were red-skinned Twi'lek female. Supi possessed green skin and blue eyes.

Equipment

During the meeting held in Palpatine's office, Supi was attired in a maroon robe, layered with a gray and maroon gown, complemented by a silver headpiece.

Behind the scenes

The actor portraying Supi wore mitts between filming takes.

Supi made her initial appearance in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, a film belonging to the prequel trilogy, which was released on May 16, 2002. During the production, the actors embodying Supi and Pampy donned mitts in between scenes to prevent the smudging of their makeup.

Within the current Star Wars canon, the character's identity was established in Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia, a reference book published in 2017. The character's name originated from the Star Wars Legends continuity, where Supi was identified prior to the film's release in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones: The Visual Dictionary, a reference book authored by David West Reynolds and released on April 23, 2002.
