A male Twi'lek named Stanic Wavingstar, operating as a criminal, made his home on Tatooine during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
Following the Battle of Yavin, Stanic Wavingstar took on the role of a messenger for the crime lord Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine and was a regular at the Wayfar cantina. Simultaneously, the Twi'lek secretly began working for the Black Sun criminal organization without Jabba's knowledge. He exploited this dual allegiance to discreetly provide Jabba with intelligence about Black Sun, all while concealing his own employment with the Hutt.
In the year 1 ABY, Jabba engaged in a competition with a relative, wagering on who could acquire the most fascinating trophy in the shortest time. As a result, the Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk enlisted a spacer to retrieve a Nightsister shroud from the planet Dathomir for Jabba. The spacer subsequently delivered the shroud to Wavingstar at the Wayfar cantina, but the Twi'lek dismissed it as an ordinary Nightsister shroud, deeming it insufficient for Jabba. Consequently, the spacer journeyed back to Dathomir and obtained a rare shroud from a Nightsister elder. This time, Wavingstar was pleased and handed over the shroud to Jabba.
Not long after, Jabba discovered Black Sun's plans to broaden its influence. The Hutt crime boss compensated his confidential informant for details regarding their operations. Regrettably, the informant's identity was compromised, and Black Sun dispatched a hitman to eliminate him. Consequently, Bossk tasked the spacer with attacking Black Sun operatives at the Death Watch bunker on the Forest Moon of Endor to gather information about Jabba's informant. The spacer eventually learned that Black Sun had pinpointed Jabba's informant at the Wayfar cantina on Tatooine. The spacer hurried to Wayfar and confronted the Black Sun assassin before he could kill the informant, who turned out to be Stanic Wavingstar. The Twi'lek expressed his gratitude to the spacer for saving his life and rewarded him with microservo-enhanced gloves. Fortunately for Wavingstar, the spacer agreed to keep his duplicity a secret from Jabba.

Stanic Wavingstar appeared as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game crafted by Sony Online Entertainment and released by LucasArts, before its shutdown on December 15, 2011. Wavingstar was incorporated into the game within Bossk's "Chance Meetings" questline, introduced alongside the "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005. Given that Wavingstar was generated using the standard "male_twilek_thug_low" template, his visual representation varied randomly among three potential appearances after each server reset, although he consistently appeared as a male Twi'lek.
