Seyugi (culture)

The original inhabitants of the planets Seyugi and Recopia were the Seyugi, as well as the planet of legends. They were a nomadic group, traversing the planet's skies on enormous repulsorlift barges while maintaining their isolation. Centuries before the Battle of Yavin, a Force-sensitive Seyugi individual known as Karrh assembled warriors who possessed potential in the Force, and he initiated their training in the skills of stealth and assassination. These warriors evolved into the original Seyugi Dervishes, and they commenced the elimination of diverse dangers to the Seyugi people, ultimately extending their influence throughout the Core Worlds. By the era of the Clone Wars, both the Seyugi Dervishes and the Seyugi people themselves were presumed to be extinct, yet in reality, several hundred of them were in a dormant state, frozen in carbonite on Recopia. The limited number of Seyugi descendants would adopt the name Mallif and disseminate their beliefs via the HoloNet. The majority of the Mallif were unaware that their ancestors were still living, but those who possessed this knowledge safeguarded the concealed base and the dormant Dervishes on Recopia.
