Qan Gindoch


Qan Gindoch existed as a male Human who earned his living as a smuggler during the era of the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

On the planet of [Tralfin], Qan Gindoch born in the year 28 BBY. He found employment with Pendor Gyrr, a Givin counterfeiter, working as a spice smuggler. During a raid on Mantooine, New Republic operatives apprehended Gindoch, discovering a substantial quantity of counterfeit credits that Gyrr had paid him. Gindoch assisted the New Republic by providing information on much of Gyrr's counterfeiting activities. The New Republic concluded that Gindoch was merely a smuggler employed by the Givin and not involved in Gyrr's counterfeiting operation. Consequently, due to the minor nature of his offense, Gindoch was freed after paying a small fine.

Gindoch went back to smuggling, now working directly for both the Galactic Empire and various criminal syndicates. He became a suspect in the theft of a shipment of blasters destined for the New Republic training facilities located on Vessitoar. During a routine security inspection at a spaceport on Celanon, a portion of the stolen shipment was found. The trail led to a minor arms dealer who had acquired samples from Rethorn, an Ithorian crime lord. Interrogations with Rethorn's associates revealed that Gindoch had smuggled the weapons aboard a hijacked freighter. The New Republic then issued a reward of 3,500 credits for the capture of Gindoch on charges related to smuggling and theft.

Personality and traits

Standing at a height of 1.75 meters and weighing eighty kilograms, Qan Gindoch was a Human male. He was noted for wearing a large earring in his right ear. Gindoch was skilled at negotiating and deceiving others, with a known fondness for gambling.

Skills and abilities

Qan Gindoch possessed proficiency in the use of both blasters and melee combat, complemented by training in survival and stealth. He possessed knowledge of diverse cultures and languages, and knew how to make contact with the criminal underworld. Gindoch was capable of piloting transports through both realspace and hyperspace, as well as being adept at utilizing and repairing the ship's weaponry.

Equipment

A heavy blaster pistol served as Gindoch's primary weapon.

The character of Qan Gindoch was featured in Wanted by Cracken, a sourcebook released in 1993 by West End Games to supplement Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. Mike Jackson provided his illustration. Gindoch's prison identification number alludes to THX-1138.
