The region of space referred to as Pirate's Gold, alternatively called the Muon Gold, existed within the Tatoo system, situated in the Outer Rim Territories. A group of pirates, specifically the Bestine Pirates, made this region their home during the era of the Galactic Civil War. These pirates christened the area in honor of their preferred spice, known as Muon Gold. Even with their spice consumption, the pirates demonstrated remarkable precision and deadliness in piloting their vessels, establishing Pirate's Gold as one of the most perilous locations within the system.
