The Ord Janon system existed within the Spinward sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Ord Janon, a planet, was located inside of it.
No earlier than the Pius Dea Era, a time period stretching from 12,000 to 11,000 BBY, Ord Janon functioned as a Galactic Republic outpost designated as an Ordnance/Regional Depot. During the Clone Wars fought between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Confederate forces held the planet.
Sometime between 25 ABY and 26 ABY, following a successful invasion of the Birgis system, the Yuuzhan Vong species from the extra-galactic realm attacked the Ord Janon system with their military as part of their conquest of the galaxy. By 27 ABY, the star system remained under the control of these invaders.
The reference book The Essential Atlas, published in 2009 and written by Jason Fry together with Daniel Wallace, first made mention of the Ord Janon system, locating it in grid square N-2.
