Ord Janon, a planet located in the Spinward sector of the Outer Rim Territories, once functioned as an Ordnance/Regional Depot for the Galactic Republic. During the Clone Wars, military forces belonging to the Confederacy of Independent Systems held it.
Situated within the Ord Janon system of the Outer Rim Territories' Spinward sector, was the planet Ord Janon.
Functioning as an Ordnance/Regional Depot outpost for the Galactic Republic, Ord Janon was established during the Pius Dea Era, a time period spanning from 12,000 BBY to 11,000 BBY. Millennia later, during the Clone Wars conflict between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Confederate forces were compelled to withdraw from their occupied position on Ord Janon.

During the war, news outlets under Republic control reported the capture of several key Confederate strongholds by its military forces. In response, Count Dooku, the Confederacy's leader, in a 14:2:14 broadcast of the CIS Shadowfeed news and propaganda program, dismissed Republic claims regarding the Confederate retreat from the "temporary" worlds of Ord Janon and Raxus Prime as "spurious." By 20 BBY, Ord Janon remained a world aligned with the Confederacy.
Sometime between 25 ABY and 26 ABY, the Ord Janon system suffered an attack by the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong species during their conquest of the galaxy. By 27 ABY, the star system remained under the control of these invaders.
An article by Pablo Hidalgo, titled "CIS Shadowfeed Dispatch 14:2:14 Edition," mentioned Ord Janon as an in-universe news report. This article was included in the sixty-fifth issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine, released on January 21, 2003. The reference book The Essential Atlas from 2009 located the Ord Janon system, and consequently the planet Ord Janon, within grid square N-2.
