Production Information

The initial mention of Nebula Forso occurred in the 1993 publication titled Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas. This book, authored by Bob Carrau, merged creature concepts and images from various George Lucas projects (the Star Wars franchise creator) with original written content. The nebula was identified in the book as the place of origin for Kaat Thrick-Thrick, the alien horticultural teacher.

Leland Chee, an employee of Lucasfilm and the keeper of the Holocron continuity database, has stated that the details found within Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas are considered non-canonical within the Star Wars Legends continuity. Nebula Forso's introduction into the Star Wars Legends canon happened in 2009 with the release of The Essential Atlas, a reference book written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry. This book situated it within grid coordinate P-4.
