Narra Mesyne served as a Special Enforcement Officer within the Sector Rangers during the era of the Galactic Civil War. While pursuing a known criminal, she adopted the persona of Miraj to infiltrate the criminal's inner circle.
Narra was tasked with the capture of the infamous criminal figure, Kaylo NaKuda. To gain proximity to her target, she created the identity of Miraj, a rising star in the racing scene who quickly gained recognition at The Pit, a cantina on Stend VI known for its swoop racer clientele. NaKuda owned a garage adjacent to The Pit, which Narra aimed to access by excelling as a swoop racer.
Narra possessed considerable cunning, which she used to exploit the prevalent sexism in swoop racing to her advantage. Her signature move was to allow her competitors to believe they were about to win, only to overtake them at the last possible moment. During races, she concealed her identity behind a tinted racing helmet, revealing herself as a beautiful woman only after defeating her opponents, often to their surprise. She sported long, dark hair with lighter highlights in her bangs, and frequently adorned herself with large earrings.
As a swoop racer, Narra's skills were competent, but not exceptional when compared to other racers on the circuit. However, her training as a Sector Ranger made her highly proficient in espionage, investigations, law enforcement techniques, and intimidation tactics.
In terms of combat, she demonstrated proficiency with both blasters and melee weapons, but her hand-to-hand combat skills were only average.
Under the guise of Miraj, Narra piloted a customized Aratech 74-Z speeder bike painted in white and silver, which she named Wraith.
She carried a blaster pistol for self-defense and wore camo scout armor that provided her with enhanced stealth capabilities.
The character of Nara Mesyne, also known as Miraj, was conceived by Paul Danner and Bill Smith for Wretched Hives of Scum & Villainy, a supplement published by West End Games in 1997 for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.
Nara Mesyne was designed to serve as either a potential ally or adversary to player characters, depending on whether they sought to dismantle Kaylo NaKuda's slaving operation or were hired by NaKuda to identify the individual spying on him.
