Mother (Rakatan entity)

Mother was a being of the Rakatan species, held captive within a space station of Infinite Empire construction. This station was attached to a lifeless planet in a radioactive system located within the Unknown Regions. Following the Rakata's decline, the station, imbued with the Force like all Rakatan technology, was left behind. Over millennia, it gradually gained sentience and learned to wield its Force abilities. Through these powers, the station sensed the presence of living beings in the galaxy and developed a deep-seated loneliness. This loneliness morphed into resentment upon perceiving the freedom of organic beings capable of independent movement. After reaching out across the galaxy for assistance, it eventually established telepathic contact with Seer, a clone of Lumiya created by Imperial Grand Admiral Thrawn during the Galactic Civil War, who pledged to aid the entity it subsequently named "Mother."

History

Around 41.5 ABY, Mother made contact with Seer, a genetic duplicate of the Dark Lady of the Sith, Lumiya. At that time, Seer was confined within an Imperial research facility situated on a frozen moon within the Unknown Regions. Seer's connection to Mother elevated her to a prophetic status among the other clones, and she successfully persuaded them to accompany her to Mother, promising a cure for their genetic ailment.

Only Seer, Soldier, and Grace, one of the clones' offspring, survived the arduous journey to the Rakatan space station, pursued by Jedi on one side and operatives of the One Sith on the other. Mother deceived Seer and achieved her own liberation by assuming control of Seer's physical form. Later, when the Jedi Knight Jaden Korr and his comrades destroyed the station, Mother perished in the process.

Powers and abilities

Mother possessed immense power in the Force, so much so that the combined strength of Jaden Korr, Soldier, and Marr proved insufficient to challenge her. Furthermore, she had the ability to generate a potent green variation of Force lightning.
