Moogan Spice Syrup

Moogan Spice Syrup, a syrup with a brown hue and spiced flavor, served as a key ingredient in crafting Moogan Tea. The syrup's designation was derived from the Moogan species indigenous to the planet Mooga, its originated location. Across the Outer Rim, cantinas routinely prepared the well-loved tea, following its widely recognized preparation method on a daily basis.

By the year 21 BBY, the Commerce Guild had risen to become one of the most influential corporations in the galaxy. They acquired Mooga, secured the trademark for the drink, and initiated the production of bottled and canned versions under the brand name Ardees Beverage, utilizing their Ardees Beverage Company manufacturing facility. To protect their exclusive recipe for homemade versions, the guild deployed corporate surveillance droids to issue cease and desist notices to anyone found using it. Despite the potential legal consequences, Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs decided to include his own unique recipes for both Moogan Spice Syrup and Moogan Tea in his cookbook, The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, which was released in 34 ABY.

Behind the scenes

Moogan Spice Syrup was one of the recipes featured in the 2019 Star Wars cookbook, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, authored by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel and Marc Sumerak. The out-of-universe recipe calls for ingredients such as vanilla extract, a cinnamon stick, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and water to produce the syrup.
