A mobile battlegroup represented a specific type of military unit within the Imperial Army.
A typical mobile battle group consisted of a battlegroup headquarters, a single armor regiment, and three repulsorlift regiments. Its composition featured 16,106 soldiers, 1,342 repulsorcraft, along with 265 heavy tanks. These battlegroups were strategically positioned in operational areas where the enemy's domain bordered Imperial controlled areas, enabling rapid responses to enemy initiatives and the execution of swift, decisive incursions.
The strength of mobile battlegroups could be increased through the addition of an artillery regiment, a further armor regiment, and two additional repulsorlift regiments.
