Maydla Churhee was married to Vlaydm Churhee, who commanded Churhee's Riflemen, a mercenary group. During a mission within the Y'Trella system contracted by the Galactic Empire, the Riflemen found themselves trapped and were deserted by the promised Imperial reinforcements. Vlaydm and the majority of the Riflemen perished, with the remaining members gathering on Turcan III. Maydla then assumed command and steered the unit towards an alliance with the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
