The Lurathi Guard functioned as a military order in the era of the Galactic Republic. Around the year 700 BBY, this group combined with several other military organizations, ultimately establishing the Iotran Police Force. This combined military entity had its base of operations on Iotra. After this consolidation, the Guard remained a part of the new Police Force, functioning as one of its internal subdivisions.
