Her Ladyship Leyli, a Selonian woman who held a position of power and acted as an assistant to the ruler of Tralus on the world of Tralus, played a role during the Galactic Civil War. Not long after the Endor engagement, she provided Rogue Squadron of the Alliance to Restore the Republic with information concerning the location of an Imperial outpost on Tralus. At this base, General Weir was subjecting their ally, Ten Numb, to torture.

During the time of the Galactic Civil War, Lady Leyli served as an official and the primary helper for the Queen who reigned over Tralus. Following the Endor clash by a couple of weeks in 4 ABY, General Weir of the Galactic Empire launched an assault on Corellia, a planet situated in the Core Worlds. He then kidnapped Ten Numb, a Rebel pilot, and transported him to a facility on the nearby world of Tralus to be interrogated. Rogue Squadron from the Rebel Alliance, while in pursuit of Numb, made their way to Tralus and stumbled upon a Selonian metropolis. Soon after, Leyli encountered Wedge Antilles and Luke Skywalker of Rogue Squadron at a gold-colored structure within the city. She informed them that her monarch was hesitant to offer assistance due to fears of Imperial retaliation, and she voiced her concerns about the Sith Lord Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine, the Galactic Emperor. Despite initially doubting Skywalker's claims about Vader's demise and the Empire's defeat at Endor, she was ultimately convinced by his assurance that he had witnessed Vader's death firsthand.
Leyli made the decision to keep her queen in the dark about the situation until the Rebels had successfully defeated Weir. She also provided guides to lead the Rebels to the base where the general was holding Numb captive. Furthermore, she warned them about Weir's reputation for cruelty, suggesting that their comrade would likely be longing for death by the moment they located him, assuming he was still alive. Rogue Squadron pilot Wes Janson later discovered Numb's lifeless body at the base. As the Rebel incursion unfolded, the Imperials evacuated the base, and Antilles successfully captured Weir.

Leyli possessed a cautious and pragmatic nature, prioritizing the safety of her community and sovereign on Tralus. These tendencies were fueled by her anxieties regarding Darth Vader and the Emperor. Despite her initial skepticism and mistrust of Skywalker's account of their deaths, she extended her assistance to the Rebellion's heroes and played a role in directing them to Weir's concealed base. As a Selonian woman characterized by brown fur and green eyes surrounded by slightly lighter fur, Leyli's height exceeded that of Luke Skywalker, who stood at 1.72 meters tall.
Leyli's debut occurred in the third edition of the Star Wars: X-Wing: Rogue Leader comic series. W. Haden Blackman penned the issue, Tomás Giorello provided the illustrations, and Dark Horse Comics released it on November 23rd, 2005.
