Kei No Kay was a Wavedancer and Qwohog of the female persuasion. She toiled as a slave under the thumb of the Ishi Tib named Jund Voon, being compelled to create elaborate goods that Voon then marketed via his establishment, Wave Works.
Jund Voon secretly held Kei captive, and she was actually the main reason Wave Works became so well-known so quickly. Her artistic talent was immense, a fact that Jund recognized and took advantage of. Her confinement was within a fabricated tidepool tank. In addition to her crafting of jewelry and small ornaments, she enjoyed playing the hydroharp. As long as she kept making high-quality items, she was not mistreated, despite her imprisonment. Koll, Kei's sibling, became a member of the Rebel Alliance.
Paul Danner and Bill Smith conceived Kei No Kay for Wretched Hives of Scum & Villainy. This was a supplemental material for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, released by West End Games during the year 1997. Joel Carroll provided the illustration of her.
