Ichalin Station

Ichalin Station, a space station, was located within Hijoian Space of the Expansion Region. As detailed in the Bounty Hunters Guild Handbook, a Glottalphib with a penchant for pyromania smuggled a flamethrower through Ichalin Station's customs checkpoint, resulting in a bounty being issued for his capture. Around 2 ABY, the Ho'Din terrorist known as Yansan sabotaged a Rebel Alliance starship that was docked at Ichalin Station, ultimately leading to the capture and subsequent death of the Rebel operatives who were attempting to pilot the damaged vessel.

Description

Within the Expansion Region's Hijoian Space, Ichalin Station was a space station situated in a specific star system.

History

The terrorist Yansan sabotaged a Rebel Alliance starship in Ichalin Station.

Arack Dostryt, who held the position of Director of Recruiting for the Bounty Hunters' Guild, included a hypothetical scenario when writing a section for an edition of the Bounty Hunters Guild Handbook that was released sometime between 19 BBY and 0 BBY. This scenario was intended to demonstrate that bounty hunters could potentially collect multiple bounties that had been placed on the same individual. The example involved a Glottalphib pyromaniac who smuggled a CZ-28 Flamestrike flame cannon through the customs checkpoint at Ichalin Station, which then resulted in a bounty being posted for his capture. The Glottalphib in the story then tried to keep a low profile, but he later had another bounty placed on him for something unrelated.

By approximately 2 ABY, a starship belonging to four agents of the Rebel Alliance was present at Ichalin Station. During this time, the Ho'Din terrorist named Yansan sabotaged the vessel. As a result, the agents were captured and ultimately died because they were unable to control the damaged ship during their attempt to escape. Lieutenant Commander Bakki Sourthol of the Rebel Alliance later referenced the incident at Ichalin Station in an addendum to a SecuriDex datafile about Yansan.

Behind the scenes

Ichalin Station was initially mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 sourcebook that accompanied Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. In 2008, the reference book titled The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia located both Ichalin Station and the Hijoian Docks—another space station that was also connected to Yansan and first introduced in Alliance Intelligence Reports—within the Fakir sector.

However, the StarWars.com Online Companion for the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed Ichalin Station's star system and the Hijoian system in grid square J-8, which is part of the Expansion Region's Hijoian Space. The Fakir sector was instead located in the Colonies. This article assumes that the latter placement is the correct one for Ichalin Station.
