Hurd Coyle, a salvager of scrap, operated in the galaxy. In the aftermath of the Battle of Utapau, Captain Coyle pulled HOB-147, a clone pilot, from the void after he'd survived Order 66. The clone's wrecked fighter was hauled onto Coyle's vessel, and the reprogrammed B1-series battle droid escorted him to the med bay.
Hurd Coyle's ship encounters HOB-147's starfighter drifting in space.
Upon awakening, HOB-147 lashed out at the droid, believing he was a prisoner of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Coyle entered the medical bay and incapacitated the clone with an electro-dart, subsequently shackling him to a wall. Left alone, the clone managed to wrench the chain free. He then moved through the ship, eventually finding a group of Jedi Younglings in Hurd's care, including Nia and Bon, whom he had previously encountered.
Later, clone troopers boarded Coyle's ship. HOB-147 informed the commander that Coyle had been his savior and that there were no Jedi present. Accepting the pilot's deception, the commander recalled his troops, thus saving Coyle's life.
