The hospital module, a type of Mission Function Module, was engineered for integration with the modular taskforce cruiser. Its purpose was to provide support during events such as planetary catastrophes, post-terrorist remediation efforts, and salvage following space engagements. The module's responsibilities encompassed handling a wide array of crises, from battle wounds to radiation spills. Its personnel included a complement of 225 doctors, 400 nurses, 1,500 emergency medical technicians, and 1,000 medical droids. The hospital module's capacity allowed for the treatment of 2,750 patients using bacta tanks, 1,000 patients requiring isolation, and 19,600 in standard medical bays. It had a cargo capacity of 5,000 metric tons, which included vast quantities of medpacs, repulsorlift stretchers, and five shuttles. The acquisition cost for the module was 750,000 credits.
