Holy Rebellion of '06

The Holy Rebellion of '06 represents a struggle that transpired roughly concurrent with the collapse of the Republica Galactica and the subsequent rise of the First Galactic Empire.

The Sith Black Knights, a group of mercenary warriors, systematically pursued and almost completely eradicated the Jedi Bendu of Ashla, who had served as the protectors of the former Republica. These Sith, who began their existence as pirates, had acquired mastery over the powers of the Bogan from a Jedi who had fallen from grace, known as Darklighter. Eventually, the Sith rose to become the Imperial guard, achieving a position of dominance within the Empire.

Kane Starkiller stood as one of the few Jedi who managed to survive the rebellion.

Behind the scenes

This narrative, marking the initial reference to the events that would later be known as the Great Jedi Purge in the cinematic series, originated within the second draft of the original movie's screenplay. Subsequently, it underwent simplification, leading to the removal of the "Holy Rebellion" concept.
