Gerrard V was a world situated within the Core Worlds region, and it served as the location for a significant conflict that occurred during the Galactic Civil War.

Located at galactic coordinates K-12 within the Gerrard system, the planet Gerrard V existed within the Core Worlds. Although Senator Chelo represented Gerrard V in the Imperial Senate during the Galactic Civil War, the planet's population largely consisted of Rebel sympathizers.
More than six months following the Battle of Yavin, the governor of Gerrad V utilized his personal vessels to loot the planet's primary urban center. In response, the Rebel Alliance dispatched Rogue Squadron and Gold Squadron to engage and neutralize the offending yachts. During this operation, Rogue Squadron encountered the 128th TIE Interceptor Squadron. Following the defeat of the 128th, Kasan Moor, an Imperial TIE/In interceptor pilot, chose to join the Rebel Alliance after her fighter was disabled.
Grizz Frix, a Rebel pilot, was involved in an incident during a training exercise that took place above the planet.
Gerrard V was initially referenced in Galaxywide NewsNets within Star Wars Adventure Journal 3, and it was later featured as a campaign mission in the 1998 computer game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.
